Cooke for the first time in the kitchen before I went out yesterday- made tomato and butterbean soup. My mum says I need a meat meal cos I told her I'm going to cook veggie pasta tonight. At the moment can't be bothered to cook anything. Last night was quite boring to be honest. The bencraft party was half dead, no-one danced, and my flatmates left. Talked to a few people i'd met the night before and one boy who only arrived yesterday. Managed a more interesting conversation tha the usual what are you studying, where do you come from etc. After he left it just got emptier and emptier so I ended up leaving at bout 11, so at least I got a good nights sleep!

Today we all went into campus to register with a doctors and stood in a queue for AGES to not get my freshers tickets :( Will try again tomorrow.

Tonight seems abit up in the air, with everyone giving different info. Theres a comedy night on at the union which some people say u need tickets for, but some say you can pay on the door. And the times keep changing. Then some people are going to a club after that. Most of my flatmates didn't get in til about 7 this morning so some people don't want to come out at all. May end up not going out so I don't end up with hardcore partyers! Would like to go to the comedy night, tho i've never heard of any of the comedians.

We went to see HP on Friday and I liked it, tho I don't think it was better than the book. The romantic bits were so much better than in the book, and they kept Hermione's birds which I always enjoy! Probably because of all those bits it was more of a comedy film for most of the middle- and it was good comedy but you did kind of forget the looming threat of Voldemort that the book had. Well, until the end anyway. The Inferi were scary! But I did miss the big fight after Dumbledore was killed with the DA and the Order of the Phoenix - cos noone other than Harry seemed to do anything in the film. Still the end was good, and I liked how the whole school raised their wands and it got rid of the Dark Mark- that was sweet.

I need some more icons, specifically Harry Potter ones!

At the moment I'm trying to clear some space on my bookshelves as I'm getting to the 'piles on any free surface stage' and so I'm trying to figure out which books I can give to the charity shop. It's harder than you'd think!

You're a good listener, you don't criticize, and you offer unbiased, respectful, honest advice when it's requested.

You don't feel the need to impose your standards on others or say things that, even though true, cause pain.

With a high score on the "understanding" trait, it is likely that you are enthusiastic about charitable work, helping others, and making the world a better place.

Responsible

You fulfill your obligations and responsibilities, are true to your word, and generally obey the rules.

You're opposed to making hasty decisions, you don't insist that you're above the rules, nor do you feel compelled to color outside the lines.

While the majority of those who have a high score on the "responsible" trait enjoy traveling, they are usually very happy to return home — and don’t mind staying put for a while.

Sympathetic

You have a knack for knowing what's going on in the hearts and minds of those around you, without their having to tell you explicitly. People tend to turn to you with their problems because they know you care, and that you will likely offer good advice and a helping hand.

You do not feel that people with sad stories are just looking for attention, or have brought their problems upon themselves.

Acquiescent

You are comfortable in your own skin and don't need to throw your weight around. You'll often choose to be the one who is told what to do rather than the one who's doing the telling, and you sometimes avoid confrontations even if it means that you won't get your way.

You aren't interested in making others bend to your will or in always dishing out criticism. You're not a pushy person, and you like it that way.

Upbeat

You enjoy being around others and others enjoy being around you. You have a "live and let live" attitude; because you know that no one's perfect, you are forgiving and happy to give the benefit of the doubt.

You don't feel the need to be controversial or express contrary opinions all the time. You see no reason to go around rubbing people the wrong way.

Organized

You like to think a task through before you embark on it. If it's the slightest bit complicated, you make a list (even if it's only in your mind) and methodically work your way through it. When you have a goal in mind, you're not satisfied until you reach it.

You are not one of those people who ignore the details, and you don't understand how anyone can get anything accomplished without thoughtful planning ahead of time.

Unflappable

You are not a slave to your emotions. It takes a lot to upset or unnerve you. That's why you're a good person to have around in a crisis.

You don't let it all hang out, which means that those around you often don't know the pressures you're under or what you're going through. You're not the kind of person people run from in a crisis.

Reserved

You are somewhat shy, or at least unwilling to spend all your time socializing. With you it's true that "still waters run deep," which is why many of your acquaintances never get to know you well.

You are not always ready to talk at the drop of a hat. Whether you're in the office or at a party, you're not likely to be found gabbing away in the middle of a group of people.

Whu Duncan is evil!!

It’s not any of the memes I promised I’d do but it’s still an update! A very important one that Li should read and agree with!

Why Duncan is evil!

1.	He ignored V for a year.
2.	He got all jealous over Troy.
3.	He didn’t break up with her properly- just started ignoring her.
4.	He didn’t tell her that she was his sister, when he thought she was.
5.	He raped her.
6.	Super Stalker!

I’m sure there’s more I just can’t think of them at the moment.

And this is a blogthing I got from Gina:

You Should Paint Your Room Yellow

Bright and bold, yellow is truly the color of inspiration.
Your yellow room will drive you to think clearly, develop new ideas, and be organized.
Yellow is also energizing and very powerful. So don't expect to rest in there!

What Color Should You Paint Your Room?

Today I had my first Physics lesson, supposedly, with Mrs. Jones. She was away *cheers* so we had lots, and lots of notes. Kind of deja vu from Mrs Caulfield’s lessons really.

I spent most of today persuading Li that I did NOT want to go and see Harry Potter again (just in case you’re reading this Li: I’ve already seen it- don’t wanna see it again). I saw it on Saturday and, yes, it was good, but not good enough to warrant seeing again in such a short time. They condensed it so much that you had a lot of action and not much explanation. For instance, WHY did Barty Crouch (Senior) die? Who killed him? Anyone who has only seen the film will not know why and who. Percy didn’t appear in the film- there was no mention of Barty (Snr) being under the Imperius Curse, Winky doesn’t exist in HP film world and neither does SPEW (tch). The second challenge was good; as was the Yule Ball and I liked Hermione’s line- “I’m not an owl” (in context it sounds less weird!).

The way it changed from flashback to now was very well done and I liked the little story that Leo told near the end, it was sweet! Shouting-Josh is scary and worrying though- he’s not normally like that.

My Mum has a palm top from work! And all the children in Years 5 and 6 have one. It is SO not fair!
I’ve had quite a good weekend. On Saturday I went to see Wallace and Gromit which was good and I went shopping which, though I bought hardly anything, was productive- I’m organised- I have an Xmas pressie and ideas! I went to Jo’s house after which was fun- we watched the Siege pt2 (everett’s is FREAKY), talked to Li on MSN (and her drop hints that I should get it) and went on the Net. We also ate lots of chocolate raisins! :)

Today I watched lots of West Wing and did homework (ick). Cuddy’s a hooker! The President has Vicodin for his back!!!!! Am loving the little House references, even if it was made like 6 years ago.

I’m updating again! And I’m going to try to update once a week (although that probably won’t happen).

I got a new computer the other week, that can do stuff! And it has a Media Player so if anyone could give me some sites to download music from that would be great. I also have Word and all of that stuff that that the rest of the country takes for granted. The only thing that hasn’t changed is my titchy internet time! Also our keyboard is STUPID- I have to re-type stuff sooo much (and it's not my bad typing!).

I just finished watching Babies and Bathwater (is that the right one?) it was good but House’s dream was kinda freaky!
